Bladder Cancer Canada’s co-founders, Jack Moon and David Guttman, have been named recipients of the Meritorious Service Medal (MSM). This is a high-level and prestigious award which is given with great discretion. It enables the Governor General, on behalf of all Canadians, to honour those who have performed a deed or activity in a highly-professional manner or of a very high standard. Recipients are those who set an example for others to follow, improve the quality of life of a community and bring benefit or honour to Canada.
It’s hard to believe that these two bladder cancer survivors started this organization just eight years ago. Because of their vision, we have supported thousands of bladder cancer patients and families across Canada and will continue to do so for many years to come.
