Michelle Colero, Executive Director

With an extensive background in the non-profit sector, Michelle oversees all operations at Bladder Cancer Canada (BCC) and represents BCC at industry events and through partnerships with other patient advocacy and research organizations. Michelle is also a Board Director for the World Bladder Cancer Patient Coalition.

Theresa Blondin, Director, Volunteers & Programs

Theresa develops programming to increase support and education within the bladder cancer community – from the One2One Peer Support Program and support groups to webinars, guidebooks and other informative resources. She also leads the volunteer engagement program, ensuring volunteers are actively involved across all organizational levels.

Shasa Boshoff, National Development Manager

Shasa manages and supports all the fundraising initiatives at BCC, including our annual Walk – Canada Walks for Bladder Cancer, grant writing, receipt management, and Fundraise Your Way. Shasa works with donors, volunteers, and participants to support their fundraising efforts.

Cassandra Schooley, National Communications Manager

Cassandra oversees all communications and marketing strategies including content creation, enhancing awareness of BCC and bladder cancer, and manages media relations. Cassandra also works with patients and volunteers to help share their stories about what BCC means to them.

Emmalene Rae, National Administration Manager

Emma wears many hats – from human resources to grant writing to administration, and everything in between – assisting all departments with whatever they need to support patients and raise awareness nationwide.

Marilou Cameron, Bilingual Program Support Manager

Based in Montreal, Marilou manages the national BCC Helpdesk, coordinates the national Peer Support Program, and manages patient programming, outreach and volunteerism within Quebec and the national Francophone community.

Oliver Sutherns, Web Developer

Oliver manages our website and Discussion Forum site, supporting requests from the team, in a group effort to improve the user experience for patients, their supporters, and website visitors. He also helps with data collection, flow, and advises on tech and communication matters.
