One of the three pillars of Bladder Cancer Canada’s (BCC) mission is to fund research which pursues the diagnosis, treatment and elimination of bladder cancer. Although bladder cancer is the 5th most common cancer in Canada, it ranks only 21st in research out of the 24 most common cancers. Our research commitments endeavour to minimize that disparity, with the long-term vision to create a world where bladder cancer is just a memory.

Our Research Funding
Since BCC supported its very first $25,000 grant in 2012, as of 2024, we have funded over $3.1 million in research. As one of our pillars, the pursuit of innovative research is critical to achieving our vision of creating a world where bladder cancer is just a memory. The ongoing support of our generous donors and research funding partners have made this incredible milestone possible.
Bladder Cancer Canada and CUASF Joint Grants
Bladder Cancer Canada is proud to partner with the Canadian Urological Association Scholarship Fund (CUASF) to provide funding for projects within the Canadian bladder cancer research community.
Applications for grants are accepted annually from March to April.
Funding is provided over a 12-month performance period and an annual summary report must be submitted upon the close of the funding period.
