Bladder Cancer Patient and Caregiver Support Groups

Support groups serve as welcoming and non-judgmental platforms in which bladder cancer patients and caregivers can share their experiences, challenges and questions with others who have faced a bladder cancer diagnosis.

I was pretty much shell-shocked after my surgery. When I went to the first support meeting, it felt like I could finally let go and breathe. The group was warm, friendly, inclusive, and positive. Each month, we share our issues and offer reassurance and practical help to each other, especially to those who are recently diagnosed. This group provides an essential source of emotional support to me.

Were it not for the Women’s Support Group & all the very strong and resilient women in the group, I would never have realized that it’s possible to live well after a radical cystectomy.

Bladder Cancer Canada is fortunate to have committed and compassionate volunteers facilitating groups across the country.
