Introducing Our New Healthy Living Guide: Empowering Wellness for All

By Bladder Cancer Canada | Resources | 10 January, 2025 | 0

Through questions from the BCC Helpdesk, webinars, and conversations with our community members, the Bladder Cancer Canada team recognized the need for more information on health, nutrition, and exercise—whether you are currently diagnosed or living beyond a bladder cancer diagnosis.

In response to this, we are thrilled to announce the release of our long-awaited Healthy Living Guide! This resource has been two years in the making, and we couldn’t be more proud of the final result. Whether you’re navigating life after a bladder cancer diagnosis, supporting a loved one, or simply looking to embrace a healthier lifestyle, this guide is for you.

What’s Inside?

The Healthy Living Guide offers practical advice and tools to help you live well, covering everything from staying active and supporting mental well-being to making informed choices about nutrition. It even features a selection of simple, nourishing recipes and an exercise routine to get you started on a healthier path!

But we didn’t stop there! To further support bladder cancer patients and caregivers, we’ve created an additional downloadable resource: a sample weekly meal plan. This plan includes recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, making it easier than ever to incorporate healthy eating into your routine. A big thanks to Crystal Chen for her work on this meal plan!

A Collaborative Effort

This guide is the result of the collective effort of our dedicated volunteers, partners, and medical professionals, who shared their time, knowledge, and experiences to make this resource as comprehensive and impactful as possible. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone involved, especially Stephen Wilson, whose vision and commitment were instrumental in bringing this resource to life.

Our Hope for You

We hope the Healthy Living Guide and the accompanying meal plan empower you to live actively, stay strong, and prioritize wellness. Whether you’re facing bladder cancer or simply looking to enhance your overall health, these resources are here to support you every step of the way.

The Healthy Living Guide is now available for download or can be ordered by mail. Don’t forget to also download the weekly meal plan!

Cheers to kicking off 2025 with health, hope, and living well—together!
