WORLD BLADDER CANCER PATIENT COALITION LAUNCHES
Until now there has been no organization to speak as the global voice of people affected by bladder cancer.
Representatives of three major bladder cancer organisations including The Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (US), Fight Bladder Cancer (UK) and Bladder Cancer Canada recognised this unmet need and worked together to found a new organisation, the “World Bladder Cancer Patient Coalition”. The concept has already been endorsed by many other patient organisations from countries around the world including the European Cancer Patient Coalition.
The mission of this organisation is to:
- Foster an international community of people affected by bladder cancer
- Advocate for access to the best possible bladder cancer information, support, and care
- Build alliances with health professionals, policy makers, academics, researchers, and industry
This organisation is governed by a board of trustees, whom are people diagnosed with bladder cancer, carers of people with bladder cancer or those engaged with bladder cancer organizations at a significant level.
The World Bladder Cancer Patient Coalition will be officially launched at the European Association of Urology Congress #EAU19 in Barcelona Spain on:
