WE ARE HERE TO HELP!
Bladder Cancer Canada (BCC) was founded in 2009 on the basis of supporting bladder cancer patients and their loved ones. Supporting you at every step of this journey remains a cornerstone of our mission, with “support” coming in many forms to help meet your individual needs. By way of our online Discussion Forums, our One2One Peer Support by phone, or our Support Groups in various parts of the country, our goal is to provide help in ways most meaningful and convenient for you. Read on to learn more or to get the support you need today.
Support is just a click away. In our online Discussion Forums, you can post questions and share experiences with the option to maintain anonymous. Unlike many online forums, the BCC Discussion Forum is moderated by two expert volunteers who ensure questions are answered and can help coordinate access to additional resources as needed. You may choose to search from the wealth of existing posts by other members of the forums, or you can register as a member to start chatting with our warm and welcoming community. Get started here.
One2One Peer Support
Our One2One Peer Support Volunteers offer understanding and help to patients and their caregivers. We do not offer medical advice, but our volunteers can speak from the perspective of someone who has “been there”, and we can help you to find answers to your questions or concerns.
In 2020, we launched a partnership with Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation, with the objective of increasing our capacity to best serve the growing number of Canadians reaching out to us for support. Wellspring is a Canada-wide network of community-based centres, each offering programs and services, to anyone, with any type of cancer, at any stage in their journey. Peer support has been the cornerstone of Wellspring programming for 28 years. Our two organizations are strongly aligned in our vision to provide compassionate, personalized support for patients and their family members facing the challenges of a bladder cancer diagnosis.
