Facing Bladder Cancer GET SUPPORT

WE ARE HERE TO HELP!

Our One2One Peer Support Volunteers offer understanding and help to patients and their caregivers by phone. We do not offer medical advice, but our volunteers can speak from the perspective of someone who has “been there”, and we can help you to find answers to your questions or concerns.

On April 6, 2020, we launched a partnership with Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation, with the objective of increasing our capacity to best serve the growing number of Canadians reaching out to us for support.

Wellspring is a Canada-wide network of community-based centres, each offering programs and services, to anyone, with any type of cancer, at any stage in their journey. Peer support has been the cornerstone of Wellspring programming for 28 years.  Our two organizations are strongly aligned in our vision to provide compassionate, personalized support for patients and their family members facing the challenges of a bladder cancer diagnosis.

Please click the button below or call 1-866-674-8889 to be connected with Wellspring, who will in turn match you with the Peer Support Volunteer best suited to help you.

SUPPORT GROUPS

NOTE: Due risks associated with COVID-19, many of our support groups have successfully migrated to online meetings via videoconference.

Support groups serve as welcoming and non-judgmental forums in which bladder cancer patients and caregivers can share their worries, challenges and questions with others who have been in their shoes.  Bladder Cancer Canada is fortunate to have committed and compassionate volunteers facilitating groups in several Canadian communities.  If you don’t see a one listed below for your region, please contact us so we can connect you with an existing group that would welcome you to join their next virtual meeting.  Alternatively, if you’re interested in starting a group, please drop us a line so we can discuss what’s involved and help you to get it started.
