Breaking Barriers in Bladder Cancer Support: Empowering More Canadians

By Bladder Cancer Canada | Blog, Latest news and stories | 8 September, 2023 | 0

At Bladder Cancer Canada, our mission has always been to provide crucial resources and support to individuals navigating the complexities of bladder cancer. Today, we are thrilled to share a monumental stride towards inclusivity and accessibility that would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our community.

    Expanding Accessibility: Bridging Language Barriers

We are excited to announce that our patient guidebooks are now available in FOUR new languages: Hindi, Punjabi, Spanish, and Chinese. This significant expansion reflects our dedication to ensuring that every individual, regardless of their preferred language, can access vital resources on their bladder cancer journey.

This is more than just a translation effort; it’s about breaking down language barriers and ensuring that essential information reaches a broader audience. Each language represents a new bridge of understanding and empowerment, strengthening our collective fight against bladder cancer.

Gratitude to Our Champions: 2022 Giving Tuesday Donors and Pharma Sponsors

None of this would have been possible without the generous support of our 2022 Giving Tuesday Donors and esteemed Pharma Sponsors. Verity Pharmaceuticals, Merck, and Janssen have played an instrumental role in making these guidebooks accessible to more Canadians, transforming lives in the process.

To our Giving Tuesday Donors, we extend our heartfelt gratitude. Your support has not only funded this initiative but has also created a ripple effect of positive change in the lives of countless individuals and their families.

A Community United: Making a Lasting Impact

The impact of this initiative extends far beyond the pages of these guidebooks. It speaks to the power of a community united by a common cause. To all our supporters, whether through donations, partnerships, or heartfelt contributions, your dedication fuels our commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by bladder cancer.

A big thank you also goes out to our volunteers Andres, Cheryl, Aarushi & Harjot who helped review the content before publication as well!

Access the Guidebooks: Your Source of Empowerment

We invite you to explore the newly translated guidebooks that are now available in Hindi, Punjabi, Spanish, Chinese, English, and French. These resources stand as pillars of knowledge, hope, and comfort, ensuring that no one embarks on their bladder cancer journey alone.

At Bladder Cancer Canada, we are driven by a shared vision of a world where every person impacted by bladder cancer receives the support they need. With your continued support, we are dedicated to expanding our initiatives and ensuring that together, we leave no one behind.

Thank you for being a part of this transformative journey.

    Sincerely,

    -The Bladder Cancer Canada Team
