Dr. Jonathan Izawa
(MD, FRCSC)

Dr. Izawa graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Western University in 1994, where he subsequently completed his Urology Residency. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 1999. He completed a basic science research and clinical fellowship as a McLaughlin Fellow in Urologic Oncology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in 2001. Dr. Izawa is a Professor of Surgery and Oncology at Western University. His clinical practice primarily involves the management of urologic malignancies. He was the Program Director for the Urology Residency Program at Western University from 2005 to 2009. He is currently the Program Director for the Society of Urologic Oncology Fellowship at Western University. Dr. Izawa is an Associate Scientist at the Lawson Health Research Institute and an executive member of Bladder Cancer Canada.
