Although not a patient herself, Brittany is the daughter and one of many caregivers to her father, who was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2013. Through treatment, and with the support of the Bladder Cancer Canada family and community, Brittany can gratefully say that her father very fortunately remains in remission. Brittany is a lawyer by trade, and practiced for seven years in the field of criminal defence. She currently acts as an Investigation Advisor for the TDSB, the largest school board in Ontario. There, she conducts investigations of employees and makes a determination as to whether the alleged conduct occurred and whether that conduct may be considered a breach of the school board’s policies. Professionally, Brittany is passionate about fairness, compliance and human rights issues. Personally, she values friendship, travel, family and life on the lake and most recently, exploring the joy of motherhood.
