It was truly an honour and a pleasure to serve again as National Walk Lead for our annual awareness and fundraising walk in September.
We were blessed with participation in 20 communities across Canada with 100’s of volunteers, 1000’s of walkers and, 1000’s of donors and supporters.
We are also very grateful to those local sponsors supporting us in the fight against #bladdercancer. I give a coast to coast to coast shout out to our National Partner – Corus / Global for their wonderful engagement on air, across their network, and at our events with their staff and talent.
The walk donations pages at www.bccwalk.ca will remain open to accept donations until December 31st. Our latest tally has us very close to $600,000.00. The walk is the major fund raising and revenue generating initiative for us each year. Thanks to those who participated, we can continue to manage our mandate of supporting patients, raising awareness and funding research.
We are also welcoming new walks to the network. If you know of someone in a community that has faced bladder cancer, or would like to help make a difference in the fight against bladder cancer, be sure to point them our way at info@bladdercancercanada.org.
