Michele Zielinski is a bladder cancer survivor - and the proud owner of a neobladder! She has been an active BCC volunteer since 2012, dedicated to supporting patients, caregivers and clinicians through support groups, education sessions, and awareness/fundraising campaigns.
Michele is currently an independent business consultant with a passion for complex problem solving, strategic innovation and “work that matters most”. With over 30 years of progressive senior leadership experience in the public, private and non-profit sectors, she has worked expansively in the healthcare industry. More recently, Michele led the start-up of Wellspring Edmonton, a non-medical cancer support centre – the 9th Wellspring in Canada.
Michele holds a Bachelors of Science in Nursing, from the University of Alberta, and a Masters of Science in Organizational Leadership, with specialization in strategic innovation and change management, from Colorado State University. In her spare time she can be found in her garden, camping, fishing, kayaking, cycling or practicing yoga. She and her husband, Claude, live in rural Alberta.
