Dr. Lodde completed his medical training in 1997 at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Verona in Italy. Subsequently, he pursued a specialization in urologic surgery at the University of Vienna, in Austria, where he obtained his FEBU (Fellow of the European Board of Urology) certification in 2005. Dr. Lodde finally subspecialized for two years, from 2007 to 2009, in oncological urology in Canada, under the direction of Dr. Yves Fradet, within the institution for which he currently works, the University Hospital of Quebec - Laval University - the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec.
Armed with expertise acquired in Austria, then in Italy, as urologist in charge of the oncology clinic of the Bolzano Hospital, he was recruited as urologist-oncologist at the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec in 2014, by the same team he met during his fellowship. His team is among the largest in Canada and includes eight uro-oncologists, three of whom also hold PhDs. It is here that Dr. Lodde would develop an expertise in the treatment of bladder and penile cancers, among other things, and continue his research as a research associate at Laval University, where he would also become Director of the Urology Residency Program in 2017.
Dr. Lodde has a very active practice. His expertise includes complex oncology surgeries and laparoscopic surgery. He leads and participates in phase II to IV clinical protocols, has published more than 60 scientific articles, as well as abstracts, and is regularly invited as a speaker and consultant for scientific and medical events held by various organizations.
