Dr. Brimo obtained his medical degree from the University of Damascus and his pathology training at McGill University where he also completed one fellowship in Cytopathology. He subsequently trained in Genito-Urinary Pathology at Johns Hopkins University and then joined the Pathology Department at McGill University in 2010 in which he currently holds the rank of Associate Professor. He has written over 140 articles in major peer-reviewed journals as well as several chapters in major Pathology books such as Urological Pathology, high-yield Uropathology, the 8th edition of the AJCC cancer staging manual and the Paris System for reporting urine cytology. In addition to lecturing in different National and International venues, he has won several awards including the Canadian Association of Pathology Junior Scientist Award. He is currently the chair of the Canadian Society of Cytopathology.
