“Making Your Will” is likely not something that occurs as casual conversation or dinner chatter. However, planning your estate for that eventuality is something that a person at any age should give serious consideration to. Planning ahead will ensure your desires are met.
My wife and I have recently undertaken the task of updating our wills. In doing so, I designated Bladder Cancer Canada as one of my choices for planned giving. Thus my desire to make a donation to Bladder Cancer Canada is clearly established within my last will and testament, and clear for those who administer my will to carry this action out for me.
In the mean time, I am committed to continuing to do what I can do for Bladder Cancer Canada as an organization. I’m proud to serve as a board member and the National Walk Lead. I am also very thankful to those who have supported my walk efforts in Kenora, Ontario for the past four years in raising approximately $50,000 each year. To date, my network of friends and family has helped me to raise a total of $150,000.
I look forward to continuing to walk for the fight against bladder cancer. If I am to be taken from this place called earth, rest assured that my estate will continue to support the wonderful work of this organization.
My hope is to inspire you think about planned giving and consider making Bladder Cancer Canada one of your charities of choice.
