The Alberta Health Services Cancer Strategic Clinical Network is conducting a “patient experience” study to gain knowledge about the current services available for bladder cancer patients in Alberta. They will be identifying what is working well and what is not working so well for patients. This information will be used to help create a new “Bladder Cancer Pathway” and hopefully be the first step in a larger project to ensure best practices and timely effective service in the diagnosis, treatment and follow up of bladder cancer across the province.
It is essential that rural patients, living at a distance from Calgary and Edmonton, be included in this study. Difficulty in reaching rural patients sometimes means they can be left out.
Do you live in a rural area of Alberta? Are you a bladder cancer patient? Are you willing to be interviewed by phone?
